Semsem Terms of Service

1. The Service

Semsem is a practice-management platform for veterinary clinics, covering patients, appointments, medical records, billing/point-of-sale, inventory, and an AI copilot feature.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Clinic owners and administrators are strictly responsible for the actions, permissions, and data access of any staff members they invite to their clinic’s account.

3. Subscription plans, billing, and refunds

Semsem offers a free trial (no credit card required) for a limited period, after which continued use requires a paid subscription.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, at the prices shown in-app at the time of purchase. Prices may change with prior notice; changes apply at your next renewal, not retroactively.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period using your saved payment method, processed securely via our payment partner, Moyasar, unless cancelled beforehand. You may cancel or change plans at any time from your account settings.

Refunds: Free-trial card-verification charges are automatically refunded. Paid subscription fees are non-refundable unless strictly required by applicable Saudi Consumer Protection laws.

If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and may restrict write access to the Service (without deleting your data) after a grace period, as described in-app.

4. Your data and content

Clinics retain ownership of the patient, medical, appointment, billing, and inventory data they enter into the Service (“Clinic Data”). We process Clinic Data solely to provide the Service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You are fully responsible for the accuracy of Clinic Data you enter and for securing any necessary explicit consents from patient owners to store and process their personal and payment information on Semsem.

Upon account cancellation, we retain Clinic Data for a limited period of 30 days to allow for reactivation or data export requests, after which it will be permanently deleted from our servers.

5. Medical disclaimer and AI limitations

Semsem is strictly a record-keeping and practice-management tool. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary judgment, diagnosis, or treatment decisions. All clinical, diagnostic, and prescriptive decisions remain the sole and exclusive responsibility of the licensed veterinary professionals using the Service.

The AI copilot feature is provided solely as a productivity aid. You acknowledge that AI-generated outputs may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. You are strictly responsible for independently verifying all AI-generated information, summaries, and actions against original patient records before making any clinical, medical, or billing decisions.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access another clinic’s data without authorization; interfere with or disrupt the Service’s operation (including its APIs); reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law; or use the free trial in a manner designed to repeatedly obtain trial access without a genuine intention to become a paying customer (e.g., using disposable emails or duplicate payment methods).

7. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service highly available but provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and make no warranties regarding specific uptime. We may perform periodic maintenance, and features may be modified or deprecated over time with notice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Saudi law, Semsem and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. In no event shall Semsem’s aggregate liability for all claims related to the Service exceed the total amount of fees paid by you to Semsem in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse, or fail to pay subscription fees for an extended period. You may terminate your own account at any time.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify clinic account holders of any material changes via email or an in-app notice before they take effect.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any legal action or proceeding shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
